Conditioned Mass

Conditioned Mass (2016)

This event situated a performer on a waist-height table attached to 11 ropes strung through pulleys in the rafters. As audience members entered, they found the ends of each rope dangling with spliced poems on giant oat tags. The audience discovered through pulling on each rope that they could not only manipulate the performer's body, but could work in concert to harm–or protect–the performer as she was moved.
